Paula Pant is an award-winning multimedia journalist specializing in
personal finance and small business. Her work appears
in newspapers, magazines and online.
She began her career in 2005 as a newspaper reporter at The Colorado Daily (then-owned by The E.W. Scripps Company, now a division of The Daily Camera). She rapidly rose to become the assistant news editor. In addition to her normal editing duties she also wrote a weekly column featuring local charities and doubled as the Daily's theater critic, reviewing plays and musicals that came touring through Denver.
She left her post in 2008 to travel to more more than 20 countries across the Middle East, Asia and Europe.
She writes for a diverse array of magazines about business and consumer issues. She has spoken live on primetime MSNBC and her writing has appeared on MSN Money.
She has interviewed Vice President Joe Biden, presidential contender Dick Gephardt, film critic Roger Ebert and clown doctor Patch Adams.
She is the winner of a 2010 regional Society of Professional Journalists award for a 2-minute segment she filmed, produced and narrated from Kathmandu, Nepal. She was honored as a 2010 SPJ National Diversity Fellow.

She is also the landlord for a triplex in Midtown, Atlanta that she bought in a short sale after the housing crisis.
She graduated magna cum laude from the Honors Program at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
